MD29 – Goals aplenty at the top as Bremen gain ground at the bottom

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich were in fine fettle this weekend in the Bundesliga! Dortmund recovered from their 1-0 loss against the Bavarians with a 6-1 victory over bottom side Paderborn. Jadon Sancho scored three times, whilst Achraf Hakimi, Thorgan Hazard and even Marcel Schmelzer were on the scoresheet.

That couldn’t reduce the gap to the champions though. The 1-0 win at the Westfalenstadion put Bayern seven points ahead, and they maintained that lead with a 5-0 victory over Dusseldorf. They are now just three wins from winning their eight straight title.

There was also plenty of action at the bottom, as Werder Bremen continued their great escape. This time, they beat Schalke 1-0, who have prevailed in just one of their last 14 matches. Defeats for Union Berlin, Fortuna and Mainz means Florian Kohfeldt’s men were the weekend’s big winners.

The boys in the studio discuss all of the action. As always, a very special thanks to our friends ‘Phre The Eon’ for the theme music. Anyone interested can find them on Facebook.
